What did I do in the Last 7 Days to grow my blog?

  1. Wrote 2 Blog Posts. Both evergreen content type. It doesn’t matter which day I’m writing them – just that they were written and posted by end of the week.
  2. Set up Security Measures for my Website. One of my old websites was hacked through what I think was due to a backdoor from a plugin since I had built that website from Scratch using Elementor. I changed my wp-admin login url through a plugin – All In One Login.
  3. Created at least 3 Pins for each Blog Post. and Scheduled them 1-2 Pins each day. Alternatively each day as much as possible.
  4. Added Images to Posts. I only wrote the content for it since finding images that were relevant was quite a task in the beginning. Used the option for embedding pins in WordPress by getting the image pin embed codes for the relevant images from Pinterest. Best way to refer to pics of others since this will give credit to the original creators of the pins and also link to that image directly.

Plans for the Next 7 Days

  1. Write 4-5 Blog Posts. Since I barely had any posts at all – I want to get more of the evergreen content out so that I can focus on seasonal content after the next couple of months.
  2. Set up Site Kit. Tracking metrics is super important, especially when there is discrepancy from the numbers in Pinterest to the ones coming to the website.
  3. Create and Schedule 3-5 Pins each day. I want to slowly increase the number of pins each day instead of spamming on individual days.
  4. Add a Cache Plugin. Adding a lot of images to the site will increase the loading time and thus more users will bounce from the website. Installing a plugin for this to convert images to webP would reduce the image load on the server for better loading time.
  5. Applying for Amazon Associates. My blog posts have plenty of products that can be linked to amazon, so getting started on affiliate marketing would be the next step.

That’s all for this week! Ciao!
